  1. I enjoy the intimacy of these photographs. The closeness of the subject matter with the fun and colorful lettering makes me feel like my own thoughts fell out onto the subject matter. The use of color and the simplistic comments (i.e. “tie your shoes”) really conveys the idea of a sort of checklist or to-do list and the title “Friendly Reminders” really ties these prints together. A suggestion for improvement is to work on the angle at which the photographs are taken. For example, the angle of the “Tie your shoes” photograph, while making the words more legible, is distracting because the shoe to the right is larger in the frame. It almost looks like you are laying down or something. I’m not sure exactly how to describe it but it doesn’t look natural as if you were looking down at your shoes. Altogether I think this series has a lot of potential and I enjoy the fun idea.
