This is a shallow depth of field shot of flowers that I have used to show the incredible detail in nature that not everyone notices. I have isolated one flower in focus to show all of it’s fine details, while leaving the rest of the flowers out of focus. Leaving the other flowers out of focus is making sure that the viewers eye is seeing like mine. It makes them focus on the details rather than viewing it all as a whole. I am hoping that everyone will enjoy the beauty of nature as much as I do.

  1. The colors in the picture are wonderful, they give the viewer a sense of time and texture. The short depth of field really singles this particular flower, which goes along with what you had in mind. My only advice to improve this picture is to put that flower further to the left, which would give more balance to your choice of composition.
