I always always been attracted to the colors of Indian corn, to me they represent the start of autumn, my favorite season for many reasons.

  1. I think that the colors in this photograph are well represented in a digital image. I like that the corn in closet view is in focus and it slowly becomes out of focus going toward the husk. I think that the left corner could be cropped to allow for all corn in the picture could add to the image making the corn even more striking.

  2. Beautiful rich colors and great textures in this image. I might try repositioning the corn so it is at a diagonal. The elements in the shot seem a bit separate: corn, most of the husk seems to be toward the back and the dried silk is an interesting texture, but it seems a little by itself.

  3. This Indian corn definitely serves as a representation of fall. You emphasized that by limiting the negative space and focusing more on the shapes and patterns of the corn and its decaying leaves. Also, you used the ambient light to your advantage – seeing the reflections on the kernel give a sense of shape and texture.
