ART 3470: Digital Photography I
Digital Prints; 11″ x 14″

These two photos are inspired by the book “Bridge to Terabithia” by Katherine Paterson. The photos are intended to take your eyes on an imaginary adventure by splitting the image in half. One side of the photo is reality and the other side fantasy.

  1. I like where the series is progressing, especially with the new landscapes since the last posting. I do worry that there is not enough color variation and that the colors are too saturated which also makes it look like there is not much variety in color nbvgctones.

  2. I remember your last post and I like that you’ve kept with this theme. I would be sure to make a clear distinction between reality and fantasy if that is what you’re going for. In some of these images I found myself searching for the reality as I got lost in the bright colors of the fantasy. Otherwise, good work!

  3. The color changing within these images really make it pop and bring the viewer to a fantasy world. I would like to see the colors a little less saturated. Great idea, Great work

  4. Love the idea behind this series! Really cool concept. I think the second two images are a bit more successful than the first. The fantastical colors of the first image are just a integrated into the “real” world a bit less believably than the others. Maybe if it had only been the lake that was colored?
