  1. I really like that you are taking inspiration from Vivian Maier. The layout of this photograph is definitely on point and I like that the drawers to the right were included. If I could give one critique, it would be that I would have liked to see more of your face! Maier often had self portraits that were very expressive and I think that my comment could help to improve that. Good work!

  2. I like the setting of this photograph to deliver a self-portrait. I’ve always disliked the DSLR “selfie” though. Not that this photo doesn’t have any artistic value, I just think showing the camera in the picture subtracts from its originality. I love the colors though.

  3. I’ve always admired Vivian Maier. Her self portraits are beautiful and really tell a story of what is happening in her life at the time that she took the photo. She really expresses her pain, joy, or anything else she may be feeling, if not through her entire face, but her eyes are always telling a story. I would like to see more of your face to really help understand what the photo is attempting to portray. You might want to consider holding the camera more near your stomach as Vivian Maier does.
