  1. I am especially loving the first photo in this series. The contrast is beautiful, and really accentuates the subjects features in a way that the second photo does not. I enjoy the playful nature of the second photo, but it feels a bit flat when seen next to the first photo. I think you did a great job of capturing specific moment in the first shot, it almost feels as if the subject is about to wink at the viewer. Nice work!

  2. I’m in love with the first photo. When I first saw I I thought it was a magazine cover from the 1960’s. The makeup reminds me so much of the 1960’s style, and it is complimented well with a black and white, high contrast, grainy image.

  3. Very interesting and unique idea! You did a great job recreating the expression and composition of the iconic Twiggy photo, while adding a whimsical element that gives it a clear social commentary. Great work!

  4. I love portraits and when there are ones that have serious clarity and strength in the eyelashes I love it even more. To me eyelashes are the most interesting part of the face and they are different for everybody depending on how they use them/put makeup on. The contrast of black and white was a really good choice for these and it allows the viewers to focus on the details in the faces. The expression is really interesting and creates a train of thoughts to what it may be about… I also enjoy the second image in the series since it has a pop of color and kind of tells a story! Overall, I really like these images!
