Silver gelatin prints; 8in x 10in
total of 20 images in the series

Complete Diagnosis and Repair is a collection of silver gelatin prints manipulated using bleach and scratches. The different methods of manipulation enhance the individual image to tie together the relationship between nature and humans. They further highlight the presence of humans in our surroundings and the mark we leave on nature.

Within each print, the image and their marks tell a unique story. The handmade manipulations are exclusive to each photograph, and the lack of formulated physical marks make them not re-creatable to mimic the lack of clonability in nature.

ongoing series

These two images are selections from an ongoing investigation of water infrastructural objects (dams, canals, human-made embankments and other river modifications, etc.). Through photography, video, music, and writing, I am examining how these objects encapsulate and reflect our legal and cultural relationships to water, and the nature spaces the objects sit in.
